Every person will experience them, eventually; those words, thoughts, or events that have the potential to bring life to a halt. I call these experiences DISRUPTIONS. They are not planned for, and most often, we are not prepared for them. More than catch us off guard, they have the power to throw us off course in life; our marriage, our job, our goals, our convictions. These experiences have the power to cause us to question our value and purpose – but they do not have to!
Why is this happening to me?
When will this end?
How much more of this CAN I take?
Where is God in all of this?
Does he even care? Is this the end?
DISRUPTIONS CAUSE US TO ASK A HOST OF QUESTIONS!
While DISRUPTIONS might catch us off guard, they never catch God by surprise. In this book, I explore modern situations in life, as well as Biblical narratives, and propose a different set of questions. Beginning with a Biblical view of God and humanity, DISRUPTIONS investigates four common outcomes that many people experience at the end of a DISRUPTION: Delay, Death, Derailment, or Destiny. This book offers a Biblical navigation path, regardless of what the DISRUPTION might be. Each chapter is packed with stories, examples, Biblical insight, and several engaging questions to help you navigate through whatever DISRUPTION you might be facing.
