Today, in the twenty-first century, the words prosperity and success have been socio-economically defined. Even in ministry, our view of prosperity and success is often skewed by what we have or have not. In his inaugural meeting with YHWH, before assuming leadership of the great nation of Israel, Joshua is told that he would be both prosperous and successful, owing to his commitment to the meditation on (and obedience to) the book of the Law.
